FIRE AT HUNTLY

MINER’S HOME BURNED (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HUXTLY, To-day. A six-room house at I-luntly West, owned by Mr. George Watkins, and occupied by Mr. Slater, a miner with a large family, was completely destroyed by fire at three o’clock this morning.

The State Office holds the insurance risks of £l5O on the building, and £2OO on the contents. No efficient water supply was available.
