The Empire match at Bisley has completed its first phase. The position at the close of the day’s shooting was: Mother Country 1,102 Australia 1,091 Canada 1,072 A British Official Wireless message says Lance-Corporal Hale, who won the King’s Prize at Bisley, was formerly of the King Edward’s School officers’ training corps, Birmingham. In his score of 283 he secured 14 bulls’ eyes out of 15 shots. His father was also a competitor, and was one of the 100 finalists. A team from the House of Commons defeated one from the House of Lords by 612 points to 564.
