CANTERBURY’S DEFENDERS MATCH AGAINST WAIRARAPA Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. In the Ranfurly Shield Rugby match to-morrow Kirkland will be an emergency hooker for Canterbury. The team is therefore the same as the one which defeated South Canterbury, except that Doreen replaces Hart on the wing. The team is as follows: Backs —Harris, Doreen, Oliver, Chesley, Grant, Hay, Page; wing-forward, Fookes; forwards, Cottrell, Clark, Kirkland, Lawson. Jackson, Toby Robinson, Tom Robinson, Montgomery. One of the forwards will stand down.
