SEAT FOR MR. POLSON?
STRATFORD CANDIDATES TWO RIVAL REFORMERS Press Association. STRATFORD, To-day. The United Party in the Stratford electorate will hold a conference this afternoon to choose a candidate to con- j test the seat. It is extremely likely that Mr. IV. J. ' Poison, president of the Farmers’ Union, will be selected. Mr. E. Water, the present member, j had previously announced his decision j to retire from politics, but he has been j induced by a large deputation of Re- J formers again to contest the seat. Mr. : J. B. Iline, a former member, has also I agreed to stand for Reform interests, i Tho official candidate will be selected | soon by a conference of delegates. There is much speculation as to whether Mr. Iline, in the event of Mr. j Walter getting the official nomination, . will agree to withdraw. No state- ■ ment has been made on this aspect ! so far Mr. Robert Masters lias declined j nomination in the United Party's in- 1 terests though business reasons.
