Miss Gunn, the British long jumper, jumped 18ft 7!in, a world’s record: A Paris message says Seraphim Martin won the 800 metres French championship in 1.50 3-5, a world’s record. A Press Association message from Wellington says, the Olympic Council has received advice that in the British women’s championship, Miss Norma Wilson, New Zealand Olympic representative, won her heat in the 3 00yds in 11 4-ss. She was unplaced in the final of 11 3-ss: but she was c ? ose up to the English girls, Misses Gunn, Ridgley and Thompson, who were placed.
