INTER-SCHOOL MATCH
HAMILTON HIGH BEATS GRAMMAR GAME NOT UP TO STANDARD Although providing an interesting enough curtain-raiser for the big game at Eden Park on Saturday, the interschool- game, Auckland GrammarHamilton High School, did not come up to the usual standard of secondary school Rugby. Despite the fact that the ground was in good order, and had dried up wonderfully well during the week, there was little sting in the back play, and the handling, particularly that of i Auckland Grammar, was very weak. j Although the game speeded up con- : siderably in the final quarter, the only j really bright spot was a splendid run j by Tasseli, the Hamilton second five- I eighth, who beat his men and outdistanced his pursuers, to score a great try after a 50vds dash. In the Gramamr side, Iladdrell. Clcghorn, and Frankham were the j most outstanding. The scores, Hamilton High 11, Grammar 9, were a pretty fair indication of the merits of the respective teams.
