MYSTERIOUS ACCIDENT
WOMAN KNOCKED DOWN DOMINION ROAD FATALITY t The police are investigating the Circumstances concerning the doath of a woman who was Knocked down in Dominion Road *«te on Saturday evening. Mrs. Louisa Bewar, of 317 Dominion Iload, died yesterday at the Auckland Hospital from injuries received in a Mysterious accident at 11 o’clock on Saturday evening. It is thought that the woman was knocked down by a motorist who immade off without inquiring W harm had been done. k er husband, Mrs. Bewar had attended the pictures in Dominion «oad on Saturday evening. When uiey came out. Mrs. Bewar went to some nearby shops to do some shopPing. Her husband went home, borne time later Mrs. Bewar was ound lying on the road, beside the su^er l n » from a fractured rvf U u was immediately taken to ne hospital, where her injuries were *°« but she did not recover and died yesterday. Accounts of the accident are rather ague. One report states that a motor-car dashed out of View Road j nd knocked the woman down. An*~®r states that she was knocked up gainst a passing tram-car by a motorr. the driver of which did not stop, an inquest will be held.
