ST. JAMES’ THEATRE

“SUNNY” TO-NIGHT “Sunny" will be the second production by the London Musical Comedy Company at the St. James Theatre tonight. It is full of delightful music, brilliant dancing, and superb comedy. There are 11 scenes in the play, and each of the songs has the proper atmospheric setting. There is a diverting story woven into the show, and it moves along steadily from situation to situation. Elsie Prince, the “Sunny" of the piece is a bright soul who flees home to escape an unloved suitor. On a sea voyage she uses her charming wiles in an attempt to rekindle the ardour of a swain grown cold. Jimmy Godden will have his share of the comedy opportunities. The dressing is a feature of the show, and the dancing and chorusus will contribute a considerable share to its brightness. Dancing plays a large part in the production, the “Black Bottom" and “Tough Guy” dances making an appeal. The tuneful numbers in which the play abounds include ‘ Two Little Blue Birds,” “Sunshine," “Do You Love Me?" and “Wedding Knell." The story is colourful and has a cosmopolitan gaiety that makes its appeal universal. Booking arrangements appear m advertisement columns.
