YOUTH STEALS FROM PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE
NAME SUPPRESSED “A BRILLIANT SCHOLAR” Press Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. A youth, 20 years of age, whose name the magistrate suppressed with some hesitation, was admitted to probation for two years at the Police Coura morning on charges of theft of sums totalling £3 15s from the Public Trust Office, in which he was employed. Counsel described the case as an almost incomprehensible one. The young man had high intelligence and breeding and probably no boy in Dunedin i had had a more brilliant scholastic j career, which was now rendered abortive. .
