CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
EPSOM ANNIVERSARY Fifty members of the Epsom Baptist Junior Christian Endeavour celebrated tho eighth anniversary on Saturday. Delegates from various societies of the city and suburban churches were present. There were games and a service of hymns and prayers after tea. Master Jack Simpson, the youngest member present, gave a recitation, and other performers were Arnold Mackie, clarionet solo; Misses Howieson and Mackie, duet, and Mr. Wilson, solo. A report of th© year’s progress was read by Master Keith Howison. The treasurer’s report, read by Mrs. Willacy. the leader, showed a very healthy state of the finances. Donations had been sent to the backblocks work among the children, the Baptist Missionary work among the children in India, and also to the C.t.M. The Rev. A. Bean, who is an enthusiastic endeavourer, having been president of th© movement in Victoria, spoke on “Keys.”
