NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES FOR YEAR ENDING MARCH 31. 1929. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Papatoetoe Town Board, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Sections 35 and 36 of “The Town Board Act, 1908,” and Section 50 of “The Rating Act, 1908,” and all other Acts or amendments thereto enabling it in that behalf, at a Special Meeting of the Board to be held in the Board Room, Public Hall, Papatoetoe, at 7.30 p.m. on TUESDAY, the 31st day of July, 1928, to make and levy the following rates:— 1. A General Rate of Twopence threefarthings (22d) in the £. 2. A Special Rate of One penny farthing (lid) in the £ to provide interest and sinking fund charges for loans totalling £27,050. 3. A Special Rate of One-halfpenny (id) in the £ to provide the levy made by the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board; all to be levied on the Unimproved Value of all the ratable property within the Papatoetoa Town District; and: 4. A Special Rate of One-twelfth of a penny (l-12d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all ratable property within the Hall Loan Special Rating Area. 5. A Special Rate of One-farthing (Id) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all ratable property within the Mangere Road Loan Special Rating Area. The period of the Rates to commence on the Ist day of April, 1928. and terminate on the 31st day of March, IT'29. and to become payable on the 14th day of August, 1928. The Valuation Roll and copy of the Estimates on which these Rates have been made are open for inspection at the Board Office, Shirley Road, Papatoetoe, during Office Hours.
