LADIES* NIGHT The Papakura Orphans’ Club held its first ladies’ night of the session on Thursday. The president, Bro. W. K. Francis, occupied the chair. The attendance was the largest of any function connected with the club, about 300 being present. There was a large attendance of visitors from the surrounding clubs, and a very excellent programme was provided by Bros. Rex Yates, Stan Pritchard, Duncan Black, J. Lonergan, Allen, and C. Suisted. The clubs orchesra, under Bro. Phil Hardman, provided the music. The evening finished with a dance. Among those present were: Mrs. W. lv. Francis, red velvet trimmed with guipure lace. Mrs. S. L.
