SEAMEN’S DEMANDS (Special to THE SUNJ WELLINGTON, Friday. A private conference between representatives of the shipping companies and the Seamen’s Union are discussing the union’s demands for increased wages and improved working conditions. It is thought that proceedings will be lengthy. Many of the union’s demands aLe being opposed strongly.
