ROCKBURN FOR SALE
GOOD HANDICAP PACER OWNER GIVING UP GAME Mr. D. Brideson of Manukau Road, Epsom, having decided to retire from active participation in the trotting game for business reasons is offering for sale his well-known pacer Rockburn. Rockburn, who is an aged son of Rock Huon from a Rang! mare, has raced throughout the Auckland province during the last few seasons with a good deal of success. He was formerly under the care of trainer J. Shaw for whom he won both the Whangarei and Thames Cups, be-
sides other minor events. This year the Australian-bred gelding signed on with R. A. McMillan at Tamahere and during the early stages of the season Rockburn put up some creditable performances and although he did not secure a first certificate he captured some place money. As the son of Rock Huon is still on a handy mark, he should have a useful period in front of him, and next season he promises to be a good proposition for some of the country circuit cups.
