Cable on Fire.—The City Fire Brigrade received a. call this morning to 75 Ponsonby Road, where an electric cable had caught Are. The fire was put out and the cable is being repaired. House Destroyed.—Fire this morning destroyed a five-roomed residence at Otaki, owned by Mr. J. P. Brandon and occupied by Mr. H. Witchell. Practically all the contents were destroyed, including trophies and valuable books. —P-A-
