FUTILITY OF FORCE

SAVINGS BANK WITHDRAWS BELMONT SCHOOL DISPUTE The secretary of the Auckland Satings Bank, in a letter appreciating the efforts of the Belmont School to have established at the institution a children’s bank, expresses the futility of forcing a scheme upon the school when the co-operation of the teachers is lacking. The letter, which was addressed to the chairman of the committee, Mr. Ernest Lilly, says the bank is not prepared to be a party to forcing th« scheme upon an unwilling school staff, and suggests tacitly that further controversy on the question might be eliro inated.
