MIND-READING TESTS MR. LIDDLE READY WITHIN THREE WEEKS Declaring that the latest communication of Argus the “boy prophet.” through his managr, Mr. Copeland, regarding the proposed tests to prove or disprove “mind-reading,” has the object of diverting the public attention, Mr. K. W. Liddle, the amateur conjurer, intends to get on with the tests at an early date. In last evening’s Sun Argus had objected to. his challenger using confederates or mechanical aid. Mr. Liddle writes: ‘The latest schedule of conditions inaugurated by Mr. Copeland have the obvious intention of diverting public attention from the mind reading tests in dispute. As I cannot induce Mr. Copeland to stand by his challenge, and the controversy is dragging on indefinitely, I propose to put words into action and duplicate the Argus tests within three weeks.”
