CAMBRIDGE WITHDRAWS FROM PEACE CUP

The Cambridge Rugby Union notified its withdrawal of the challenge for the Peace Cup at the meeting of the Management Committee of the Hamilton Rugby Union last evening. Mr. S. A. Mannering, who refereed the Frankton-Old Boys senior match . reported ordering L. Scott, Frankton! off the field for striking an opponent. The player admitted his fault under provocation and apologised for his action. It was decided to suspend him tor one playing day.
The continued practice of certain senior players taking the field without correctly-numbered jerseys was censured and it was resolved to take disciplinary action in the event of further trouble.
A discussion arose on the replacelnjur£'d Players and it was decided to seek a ruling from the New Zealand Union.
