NAVAL DESERTERS ARRIVE FROM SYDNEY THERE were two passengers on the Ulimaroa to-day who were not quite so anxious to make port as the rest of the passengers on the storm-tossed vessel. These men were deserters from his Majesty’s Navy. When the Ulimaroa anchored in the stream, a pinnace from H.M.S. Philomel was soon alongside with an escort of marines. The men were immediately taken aboard, and subsequently handed over to the naval authorties at Devonport.
