EMPIRE
“LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT”
“The 13th Juror,” a dramatic story with a strong cast, headed by Francis X. Bushman and Anna Q. Nilsson, will be shown to-nisjit at the Empire Theatre. “The Thirteenth Juror” affords Bushman his finest vehicle since “BenHur," and he is said to reach emotional and dramatic heights in this picture that even outshine that famous epic of the screen. Lon Chaney’s latest picture will also be shown. This is “London After Midnight,” a thrilling and exciting mystery stcry with Chaney in the role of a London detective.
M. Volkoff, the director of the Universal extravaganza, “The Prince of Adventurers,” who himself has been an officer in the army, said he would sooner have handled a division of troops at the battle front than the enormous crowds he gathered together for the big scenes in this production.
