TWO CHINESE FINED

PERMITS EXCEEDED BY NINE MONTHS Pleading guilty at the Police Court this morning to charges of remaining in New Zealand longer than the term of their temporary immigration permits allowed, two young Chinese Wong Yuen and Ng Yung Bew. were fined £lO and £5 respectively. Deportation orders were made, bonds being entered into by two Auckland Chinese that the offenders would leave the country within two months. Counsel stated that there were extenuating circumstances as the departure of each man had been delayed by sickness.
