SALESMAN ARRESTED

CHARGE OF FORGERY Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Henry Milton Bates, of Australia, aged 32, described as a salesman, was arrested in Christchurch yesterday on a charge of forging a document for the supply of goods to the value of £ 5 10s. Accused appeared before the court'“this morning. Detective-Sergeant Young said that the offence had taken place in Dunedin, and as it was understood that there were 31 other charges of varying natures against accused, Mr. Lawry, S.M., remanded accused to appear in Dunedin on Friday. An application for bail was refused.
