WOOL ODDMENT SALES
EASIER PRICES AT AUCKLAND \t the second wool odd men t sale of the season held by the Auckland Wool Brokers* Association yesterday competition was good, but prices showed a decline of Id to lid on the rates ruling at the last Auckland sale. Prices ranged as follow:—Prutchmgs, super I2d to 131 d a lb, good 10id to Hid, inferior seedy Sid to 9\d: dead wool, first ind to 14d, inferior 10-id to llid; fleece wool, 13d to 17-ld; lambs, clean 16d to 17d, inferior and seedy lOd to 12id; first pieces, to 12£1: locks. 6id to Sd. The next sale is fixed for August 7. FIRM SALE AT DUNEDIN DUNEDIN, Tuesday. A supplementary wool sale was held today. when about 1,300 bales were forward. For all the offerings, which consisted mostly of crutchings and fleece wool from stragglers, satisfactory prices were realised. The sale opened quietly, but later the bidding became more spirited. The auction has practically emptied the Dunedin stores. It is possible that another sale will be held in September, if the accumulation warrants it.
