GISBORNE RUGBY REP. GETS INTO TROUBLE

SUSPENDED FOR REST OF SEASON Press Association __ GISBORNE, Monday. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union this evening G. Carrington, a well-known representative forward, was suspended for the remainder of the season. A referee, Mr. C. Young, reported that during a match for the Coronation Cup on Saturday he quietly warned Carrington for rough play. After the match Carrington adopted a threatening attitude and repeated the offence later in the evening in the presence of members of both teams, even going so far as taking off his coat.

One member of the union, who was present at the last-named incident, said he considered Carrington's attitude disgraceful.
