LORD LOVAT’S TOUR

DOMINIONS AND MIGRATION British Official Wireless Reed. 11.35 a.m. RUGBY, Monday. Mr. W. G. Ormsby-Gore, Undersecretary for the Colonies, stated today, in reply to a question, that no special directions had been drafted for the purpose of the impending visit to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand of Lord Lovat. Lord Lovat hopes to discuss matters relating to overseas settlement with the authorities, and any representatives of any organisation in the Dominions which he was visiting, and to negotiate such au extension of the present policy as might appear feasible.

It was not intended that any scheme should be held up until the conclusion of the tour. All cognate subjects relating to emigration, it- was stated, would be under review.
