Beat a tender rump steak well 3! * on both sides to break the fibre, jfc soak for a little while in vinegar T with a sliced onion in it and a S little pepper; then dry and rub T 3: over with a little salad oil or lard. Serve hot with the t « gravy that it makes while cooking. $ SAVOURY CURRY % S Melt loz butter and fry in it *?" two tomatoes, one apple, and one T ® onion (sliced), and one teaspoon 3" curry powder. Make a batter , using a large •£ cup of self-raising four, into 4* which a teaspoonful of salt is 8 % mured. Make a hole in the centre S and break in two eggs.
