NEW GUINEA GOLD
ENGINEER RETURNS TO FIELDS BY PLANE Tales of gold in Fiji and New Gu nea were told this morning by Mr. 0. Moen, of Waitahuna, Otago, a mining engineer, who returned from Fiji by the Tofua. He has been in Fiji for the past six testing for gold and platinum there, and has brought back some specimens. Moen has found traces of gold n Fiji, but whether it is there in payable quantities has not been divulged| For nine months Mr. Moen was in ■Jew Guinea, in the region where large quantities of gold had been discovered.
