DILWORTH OLD BOYS

CLUB-ROOM OPENED DEBT TO BOARD “The association is yet small in membership, but as the years pass it will grow.” said Archdeacon G. MacMurray, chairman of the Trust Board, in officially opening the Dilworth Old Boys’ clubroom in the Dilworth Building on Saturday evening. The opening ceremony was the most important function connected with the annual reunion. The president of the association, Mr. E. L. Thwaites, was in the chair. Those present included Archdeacon Simkin, Professor A. P. W. Thomas, and Mr. J. E. Makgill, members of the board; Mr. R. H. Insull, secretary; and Mr. Noel Gibson, headmaster of the Dilworth Institute Archdeacon Mac Murray said that he had visions of the school as a powerful factor in the educational life of the community, and when that day came the work of the association would be even more important than it was at present. Mr. Thwaites said that they were deeply indebted to the board for presenting the room to the association and, as a result, activities would be greatly extended and increased interest would be taken in it. During the afternoon members visited the school and witnessed a Rugby football match between the fourthgrade team and Blue Star. A largo number assembled at the annual tea at the school.
