AN ADOLPHE MENJOU PICTURE “Jesse James,” the picture which will be shown this evening at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, depicts incidents from the exciting career of the hero of many well-known boys’ “thrillers.” The notorious outlaw is played by the popular Western actor, Fred Thomson, who is seen in company with his famous white horse. Amazing feats of daring and horsemanship are performed, and there are many tense and exciting incidents, a well-prepared scene being that in which the outlaw, trapped by his enemies, escapes from an ambuscade by the exercise of keen wits and superhuman daring. The period of this picture is that of the American Civil War and the years following:. Adolphe Menjou. in his great picture “Evening Clothes.” will also be shown.
