CHARITY BALL ON WEDNESDAY In order to raise funds for the r* lief of distress in Auckland, the m»-. agement of the Dixieland Cabaret hu placed itself in ths hands of u organising committee which is holla, a charity ball at that cabaret on Weenesday evening. The function u | under the auspices- of the Auekkr Jewish Women’s Benevolent Sorie: and the organising is being done b Mrs. Ada Follick. Novel decorations and bright Bgiffr ing will be the setting for dancing the latest music, as provided by the Dixieland new dance band. There be numerous cabaret items, & ball*, and special dances, including one ir* ranged and danced by Miss Gwenne McNaughton, also an apache dace* arranged by Miss Bettina Edwutand danced by Miss Gwenneth MeNaughton and partner. A special ex. hibition of the French tango will be given by Miss Yvonne Arlen and 3L Colin Shorter. Dancing will be indulged in froa 8.30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
