RAIN BRINGS LANDSLIP

FALL ON WAIHI-PAEROA ROAD (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) WAIHI, To-day. As a result of the torrential rain which fell in the Waihi district yesterday, a large landslip occurred on the Main Waihi -Paeroa road, beside the Waihi Gold Mining Company’s bridge it Waikino. Boulders, trees and clay covered the road for a length of 30ft, but workmen were early on th escene and cleared a passage through for traffic. It will probably take two or three days to clear the debris.
