EPSOM SEAT RETAINED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Service) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Thurs. The Epsom by-election, due to Sir Rowland Blande’s elevation to the peerage, resulted: Commander Southby (Conservative), 18,364. Mr. Parnell Kerr (Liberal), 5,095. Miss Helen Keynes (Labour), 3,719.
In the last election, Sir Rowland Blades (Conservative) defeated Mr. P. Butler (Labour) by 20,017 votes to 5,149.
