NO CRY OF “SWEETS”

REFRESHMENTS IN FOYERS AN EXCELLENT SCHEME The nasal intonations of “sweets” and “choc’lates” do not echo through the new St. James when the lights go up at the intervals and neither are patrons subjected to the forced passages of the vendors when somebody at the very end of the row feels hungry or thirsty. A much better idea for the sale of light refreshments was included in the plan of the theatre by a far-seeing architect. The splendid foyers of the circle and grand circles and the lounge of the stalls have been equipped with refreshment buffets. where patrons may, at the interval purchase their needs at prices even cheaper than at the Queen Street stores.

This department is run as a convenience to patrons, not as a fine upon them. Ladies especially are invited to visit the foyers during the intervals and take advantage of the facilities.
