MISS THEO HALPIN

RECITAL ON THURSDAY A first-class entertainment should be provided at Lewis Eady’s Hall on Thursday evening when a pianoforte recital w T ill be given by Miss Theo Halpin, F.T.C.L., L.A.8., one of the younger generations of New Zealanders who has gained considerable distinction abroad. Miss Halpin, who is a golcf medallist and exhibitionist, has recently returned from London, where she attended the Royal College of Music. There, her work was most successful and she was accorded the signal compliment of being chosen to play in the senior orchestra of the college. Miss Halpin is an accomplished performer on the violin and ’cello, and has also received extensive training in voice production. Miss Halpin will be remembered by Auckland musicians for her excellent performance at the Bohemian Orchestra’s first concert this season.
