AT THE LITTLE THEATRE

A large audience greeted the opening performance of “Outward Bound"* at the concert chamber last evening. Th© frocklig of the feminine characters did not provide much scope for the exercise of that distinction in dress which has come to be such a characteristic of Auckland amateur productions. Miss St. Clair Whyte was snugly wrapped in a luxurious fur when sho first appeared as “Ann.” and next sh** wore a dainty little draped gown of leaf-gree-n crepe de chine. Miss Daphne Knight for her first appearam*- a decidedly chic black satin wrap, collared delightfully with soft white ostrich plumes. A black hat, with a sparkling brilliant buckle, accompanied her attractive wrap. Later she wore a chic frock of French persuasion, expressed in black crepe satin.
