VENIZELOS TAKES OFFICE

NEW GREEK PREMIER DISSOLUTION OF CHAMBER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Servict) ATHENS, Tuesday. A new Cabinet has been formed by M. Venizelos. The principal portfolios have been distributed as follows: Premier: M. Venizelos. Foreign Affairs: M. Carpands. Interior: M. Savitzanoa. War: General Sofoulis. Marine: M. Argyropoulos. Finance: M. Maris. Agriculture: M. Canavos. Communications: Dr, Christomanos. Public Assistance: M. Emanuleides. Justice: M. P. Tides. National Economy: M. Vourloumis. Education: General Goutikas. Of the new Ministers M. Carpands has served in diplomatic capacities at London, Rome and Paris. M. Savitzanoa was formerly Speaker in the Greek Parliament. General Sofoulis was formerly Premier and had also been Speaker. M. Argyropoulos was Foreign Minister in the Kondylis Government in 192 6. M. Maris was Minister of the Interior in M. Zaimis’s late Cabinet. M. Canavos was formerly Minister of Marine. General Goutikas was formerly Minister of War. The new Cabinet will not appear before the Chamber, which will be dissolved by decree on Saturday or on Monday. M. Venizelos will shortly proceed to Salonika.
