A VERY NECESSARY PRECAUTION.—This, in theatrical terms, is an old custom known as “removing the jinx.” Unless someone is carried over the doorway leading to the stage entrance, a new theatre will have no luck. Messrs. John and Ray Fuller fulfilled the conditions of custom this morning by carrying Miss Elsie Prince into the new St. James Theatre.
