ORAKEI SHELLFISH SHOULD NOT BE EATEN
DANGER FROM SEWER NOTICES TO BE ERECTED Suitable notices warning the public against eating shellfish from the beaches belonging to the Harbour Board in the vicinity of the main sewer outfall at Orakei. will be erected by the Auckland Harbour Board. This was decided upon by the board yesterday following receipt of a letter from the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board stating that the board had considered the request of the Medical Officer of Health, forwarded through the Harbour Board, to erect notices warning the public against the danger of eating shellfish from the beaches in the vicinity of the main sewer outfall at Orakei, and had decided to take no action.
