TAURANGA-TANEATUA LINE
RAILWAY CONTROL FROM JULY 9 (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, Tuesday. The Railway Department will take over the final section of the line between Tauranga and Taneatua on July 9. Messrs. G. J. Bertinshaw, inspector of working railways, from Wellington, J. K. Lowe, district engineer, Auckland, W. Longbein, assistant-district engineer. J. G. Rickerby, district traffic manager, Auckland, made an inspection of the line, and were accompanied by Messrs. Watkinson and Sneddon from the Tauranga branch of the Public Works Department.
