HAUTURU AT HOKIANGA

ARRIVAL THERE TO-DAY TROUBLE WITH ENGINES The Northern Company’s auxiliary schooner Hauturu, which was reported at Spirits Bay yesterday afternoon, after a prolonged trip from Onehunga, arrived at Hokianga this morning. The vessel is to leave the northern port again this afternoon, and is due at Onehunga to-morrow morning. When news was received at Te Paki yesterday that the Hauturu was sheltering in Spirits Bay, a messenger was dispatched, but he arrived on the scene to find that the vessel had sailed. As she passed Cape Maria last evening shortly after six o’clock, the Hauturu reported by signals that she had been delayed at the anchorage on account of engine repairs.
