MANCHURIA QUIET
NEW DICTATOR IN OFFICE (United P.A.—By Telegraph, — Copyright) (United Service) TOKYO, Monday. It is stated on reliable authority that General Chang Hsueh-liang, son of the late Marshal Chang Tso-lin, has now assumed the role of dictator and military commander of Manchuria in succession to his father. The Manchurian situation continues quiet.
There have been some demonstrations in North China against Japanese goods, and atempts have been made to establish a boycott throughout the country.
