BEEF MARKET EASIER
PRICES AT WESTFIELD Beef was slightly easier at WestHeld to-day. Auctioneers report a drop of 1s to 35s for extra choice P r ime ox. A large yarding of both steer and cow beef came forward, drawn from most parts of the district. Northern vendors were responsible for several lines of light to medium weight cattle showing a fair amount of finish. The heaviest lines of the day were drawn from South Auckland pastures. A’o extra heavy choice prime cattle came forward in the steer section, but there were several lines of small to medium framed steers which showed a considerable amount of finish, and Wer ® specially attractive for butchers’ Purposes.
