APPROVAL BY THE BOARD (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association.) WASHINGTON, Monday. The sale of Government uhips in American merchant lines has been approved by the Ship Sales Committee of the United States Shipping Board. The plan of sale has not been disclosed, but it will be submitted to the board and is expected to be approved. In some quarters, however, it is believed that the board will not sell tl. e ships, but merely “feel out” the market. The sale of the vessels v/ould practically remove the Government from the shipping business.
