GAOL FOR HOPELESS COOK Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. A sentence of six months' imprisonment was imposed by Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., to-day on Cyril Louis Walter Withell, 27, a cook, for the theft of a motor-cycle, and also to a month’s gaol on various other charges of theft, fraud and forgery. The police said that accused had been given every chance but he appeared to be hopeless so far as reformation was concerned.
