There are probably not more than half a dozen racing pictures in existence which have anything like the appeal of “The Great Turf MysteEf .” which is the second feature on the programme. “The Great Turf Mystery” is a Nat Gould story, and concerns an exciting series of events, including doped horses, swindling racecourse touts, and a heroine whose one aim is to serve only the interests of justice. These two films provide a first-class programme for the Hippodrome and Empress Theatres.
