The special cricket writer of the “Observer ” in discussing the team which is to tour Australia, predicts that the following 13 players are certain to be chosen:— Jardine (captain), Jupp, Wyatt Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Hallows, Tyldesley’ Hammond, Tate. Smith, Larwood, Nichols and Leyland. , The writer says he objects to Chapman being chosen as captain because the latter lacks the necessary touch of genius.
