Nine men's teams will compete for the White Horse Cup, and 13 girls’ teams have entered for the Auckland Provincial Cup competition. The men’s teams represent the following sub-associations: Maniapoto. Rodney, Tauranga, Piako, Waipa, Wliangarei, Franklin, Whakatane and Thames-Hauraki. The girls’ teams represent the following: Franklin B, Auckland Collegiate, Whakatane, Hauraki Plains, Kaipara, Waipa, Auckland B, Whangarei, Auckland A, Waikato, Piako, Franklin and Tauranga. The present holder of the White Horse Cup is Waipa, which has successfully defended the trophy for the last four years. Last season the run-ner-up was Whangarei. Auckland Collegiate is now in possession of the Provincial' Cup. Whakatane was runner-up last year. From Saturday’s Late Edition.
