PARLIAMENT’S SCHEDULE

NOTES FROM THE HOUSE (THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, To-day. What is known among: the hardened permanent inhabitants of Parliament buildings as the “tangi,” and to others as the reverent tributes of present-day legislators to prodecessors who have recently died, will absorb the attention of the House to-morrow. Later the House will adjourn until Wednesday as a mark of respect, and on Wednesday, probably in the evening, according to custom, the debate on the Address-in-Reply will be begun. The Address-in-Reply debate with its Opposition amendment of no-confi-dence, will probably last until the middle or end of next week. Indications of the programme to be followed as the session advances are takng shape. Leave to introduce both the Summertime Bill and the Religious Exercises in Schools Bill has been given. Mr. Sidey, who is to introduce the former, may modify his proposals to meet some of the antagonism shown to the measure as a result of its unpopularity in certain quarters last year. It seems probable that some who voted Summertime last session may not do so again. Mr. H. Holland (Christchurch North) who is introducing the Religious Exercises in Schools Bill, is taking an active part in the campaign outside, and is addressing a big Wellington rally on July 8. It is believed that Mr. Coates will introduce the Licensing Bill, another contentious measure, himself.
