Even among the improvers’ division the contestants generally were well above the average. Call Boy Will Do Better After liis sound showing on tl.* opening day at the Park, Call Boy wa< in good demand for the Royal Handicap on Wednesday, and he certainly appeared to have a royal show. Sid Groat took the Taranaki trotter quickly to the front, and for 10 furlongs h*> was well in the picture. Then he left his feet and failed to settle properly again, with the result he was lost before the finish. Call Boy is still young at the game and next season will see him earning good money.
