CYCLIST RUN DOWN
KILLED BY MOTOR-CAR DRIVER LEAVES VICTIM ARREST AT HAMILTON Presß Association. ROTORUA, To-day. A fatal accident occurred on the Whaka Road about 6.30 p.m. yesterday, Mr. John O'Connor being killed as he was cycling home from work. Mr. O’Connor, who was aged about 40 years, married, with a young family, was employed in the King George V Hospital as a gardener. He was going home from work on a bicycle when he was struck by a car and fearfully injured. The driver of the car left it to go to Mr. O’Connor, but returned to it and drove off. The body was seen by passers-by, and the police were immediately informed This morning the police apprehended a man at Hamilton. He is believed to be the driver of the car which knocked the unfortunate man down in Rotorut
